Meet The Founders

Hi! I’m Caroline,
Founder, Clover Clubhouse
I moved to Southie with my husband in 2020. Before becoming a stay-at-home mom to my daughter and son, I was an elementary school teacher and taught kindergarten through fourth grade. During the summers I taught preschoolers at a daycare and spent many hours in the infant and toddler classrooms as well.
Since living in Southie, I have found a profound sense of closeness and connection with many other Southie moms through the Mom’s Club. You may have seen me in my element, connecting with young children in a fun and engaging way during my many story times at M St Park which I am excited to continue at Clover.
Combining my degree and experience in education & child development with my creative knack for planning and executing activities, I am the go-to gal for programming and enrichment classes here at Clover!

Hi! I’m Carly,
Founder, Clover Clubhouse
I have lived in Southie since I graduated undergrad in 2016. Since then I have received my masters in Elementary Education and Child Development, worked as a second-grade teacher, got married, had two children, and became a stay-at-home mom.
When my eldest was born in 2021, I joined the South Boston Moms Club board as the Director of Family Fun Day. This year, I have also taken on the role of Vice President of Community Engagement. Getting to be a part of an amazing community and putting my brain to work planning fun events for children and families, I knew I needed to go back to work within this realm.

Hi! I’m Jamie,
Founder, Clover Clubhouse
I've lived in Southie since 2007 when I was child-free in my twenties. Now as a mom to two busy school-age kiddos, I have experienced first hand the limitations that come with raising a family in the city. Through raising my children and my role in the South Boston Mom’s Club, my husband and I have formed a village of other parents in the community - all with the shared desire for a safe, clean and fun indoor playspace to gather and spend time with our children, friends and family. After recently leaving the corporate world, I partnered with Caroline and Carly who saw the opportunity to fill that void in the community and had the same vision as I did. Hence, Clover Clubhouse was created and we can’t wait to share it with you!

Empower
Growth

Hi! I’m Alexa,
Instructor
My passion for fitness began in 2013 when I got certified to be a Zumba instructor. I realized I could spend one whole hour pretending I am Beyonce in front of a room of fierce, energetic attendees and no one would judge me. In 2014, I expanded my horizons and started teaching circuit classes. I have been teaching at Hemenway Gymnasium at Harvard for 12 years but have resided in Southie for 11 years and am elated to bring my classes to my home base!
I am a Mom to two little princes. Ever since my first son was born, it has become even more important for my physical and mental health to take the time each day to move my body. I firmly believe it is so important for parents to take time for themselves. I promise to bring a vibrant energy to your workout and to play Pink Pony Club during my final ab circuit. Can’t wait to see you there!
"Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don't shoot their husbands, they just don't." - Elle Woods.

Hi! I’m Jolene,
Instructor
I have been teaching Pilates for almost 20 years following my collegiate career as a college gymnast. My passion grew from my background as an athlete and evolved into a career as a group fitness instructor. With a masters degree in science, experience in the medical field in rehabilitation, my commitment to help others grow and achieve their goals has always been important to me. Certified in both Pilates and barre, my classes will make you feel energized, toned and accomplished. My commitment to make myself, my body and health a priority in my life, while educating others on the importance of health and fitness in their day to day life, is displayed during my classes. Hi! I’m Danielle,

Hi! I'm Danielle. I am a Board-Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist and the founder of South Boston Physiotherapy & Wellness. My husband and I, along with our two daughters and lovable Aussiedoodle, have called Southie home for the past 5 years. As a former professional dancer and avid marathon runner, I understand firsthand what it takes to stay active and injury-free. My own experience with rehabilitation took a new turn after the births of our two daughters, where I experienced the unique challenges of postpartum recovery. Please reach out to me with any physical therapy related questions at SouthBostonPhysio@gmail.com.

Meet The Play Leaders

Hi! I’m Liza,
Play Leader
I moved to Southie in 2011, where I met my now husband. We have three beautiful kids between 5 and 10 years old.
I have worked with children for as long as I can remember. I have been an inpatient physical therapist at Boston Children’s Hospital since 2010, where I work on improving strength, mobility, development, and much more with children (and adults) of all ages and abilities. You will also find me on the lacrosse field coaching my daughter’s team. Prior to completing PT school, I taught swim lessons and began babysitting when I was 11 years old. Needless to say, I love working with children and I am so excited for this amazing play space.

Hi! I’m Tammy,
Play Leader
I was born and raised in South Boston. I spent 19-years in the RE mortgage industry, before I became a stay-at-home-mom. My now 8-year-old son attends South Boston Catholic Academy, where I am a member of the Home & School social events committee. In addition, I've assumed a caregiver role for my niece, 4 and my nephew, 1. I've always been passionate about working with children and I find it very rewarding to watch them learn and grow. I’m kind, patient and nurturing, and I’m excited about the opportunity to build positive relationships with children and their families at Clover.
